SECTION 14 (1) - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
HAGG LANE/INGS LANE,
EAST COTTINGWITH
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Ings Lane, East Cottingwith between
8.00am - 18.00pm, 28 April 2026 until 2 May 2026
to allow works for Road closure due to not been
able to aintain minimum widths while excavating to
install approx. 300m of telecoms cable to link into
existing telecoms apparatus as part of the fibre to the
home scheme.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via:
Main Street, Ings Lane, Green Lane, Whitegate Lane,
Cottingwith CP, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but
access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
