What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(THE MILE, POCKLINGTON)
(40MPH SPEED LIMIT & REVOCATION)
ORDER 2026

1. East Riding of Yorkshire Council propose to make
a Road Traffic Regulation Order the effect of which
will be:-
a) To prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 40mph on the following length of road:

The Mile, From a point 164 metres north of
Pocklington the centre line of Grainger Drive,
in a northerly direction for a total
distance of 400m
b) To revoke the existing entire order known as
‘The East Riding of Yorkshire Council (The Mile,
Pocklington) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2013’
3. A copy of the draft Order, relevant plan and a
statement of the council’s reasons for proposing
to make the Order are available for inspection
at the Pocklington Pocela Centre, Railway Street,
Pocklington, YO42 2QU. A copy of the street notice
and relevant plan have been placed on the council’s
website (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Traffic
Management and Road Safety). Any enquiries relating
to these proposals may be made to Traffic and
Parking Services, Directorate of Communities and
Environment, (Ref: TMN2508/04), Beverley Depot,
Annie Reed Road, Beverley HU17 0LF telephone
(01482) 393939 during normal office hours.
4. Objections to the proposed Order, stating the
grounds for objection, should be e-mailed to traffic.
