Notice of Proposed Special Event
Notice is hereby given that Belfast City Council by virtue of the
powers conferred on it by Article 8A of and Schedule 3A to the
Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 is minded
to make an Order to temporarily restrict or prohibit all traffic from
using the following roads in accordance with the details in the
Schedule hereto to facilitate the safe operation of community
events. Where necessary, local diversions will be in operation,
signed as appropriate during the times stated below or until the
time the event is announced by the organiser as completed,
whichever is the earlier, the right of way on the road, vehicles and
other forms of traffic shall be restricted or prohibited.
Saturday 30 May 2026, 12midday to 5pm
– organised by William Johnston
• Closure of Circular Road (section running parallel to main Circular
Road, between Circular Road and Norwood Drive)
Thursday 18 June 5pm to 10pm Sunday 21 June 2026
– organised by William Mayne
• Closure of Manderson Street
• Closure of Townsley Street
A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at
the address stated below or online at
roadclosures.
Persons wishing to make representations to the Council regarding
the proposals may make representations in writing to the Building
Control Service at the address below by 5pm 5 May 2026.
Representations received after this date will not be considered.
