A27 TRUNK ROAD (PEVENSEY BY-PASS)
Notice is hereby given that National Highways
Limited has made an Order on the A27 Trunk Road in the County of East Sussex, under
Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
This forms an extension of Temporary Notice NH/2026/E466 issued on 6th April (which it thereby succeeds) as permitted by The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 (a), Regulation 7.
The effect of the Order is to authorise the 24-hour closure of the lay-bys adjacent to both carriageways of the A27 between Golden Jubilee Roundabout and Pevensey Roundabout.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway repairs and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 1 month starting on or after Monday 10th April 2026.
The Order would come into force on 10th May 2026 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
No diversion is advised.
The temporary closures would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
