B979 – TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (B979 - 13.04.26) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2026” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 13.04.26 for 29 weeks and will prohibit any person from driving on the B979 between Fishermyre and Mains of Ury Junction.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to works by a water company to lay/repair main. An alternative route is available via the B979 – A90 Roundabout Stonehaven – A90 – Milltimber Flyover – B979 Milltimber – B9077 South Deeside Road – B979 and vice versa.
