TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2026
The Oldham Borough Council on 14th April 2026 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of
1. Castleton Road from its junction with Thornham Road for 25 metres northwesterly,,
2. Narrowgate Brow from its junction with Thornham Road for a distance of 25m in a southeasterly direction and
3. Thornham Road from its junction with Castleton Road for a distance of 25m in a northeasterly direction.
Alternative route
1. Thornham Lane and A671 Rochdale Road
2. Fir Lane, Dogford Road, A671 Rochdale Road, A663 Shaw Road and B6194 Rochdale Road
3. A671 Rochdale Road, A663 Shaw Road and B6194 Rochdale Road
The Order is to be made to allow Cadent Gas works and will be in force 3 weeks from 14th April 2026, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
