Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Footpath between Queensway, Torrington Crescent, and Tavistock Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 18 June 2026

Ref: SW25.26-374

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach Limited for duct laying. This order will become operative on the 18 June 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Footpath between Queensway, Torrington Crescent, and Tavistock Road, Weston-super-Mare from the junction of Tavistock Road to outside 55 Torrington Crescent.

Stock Lane, Langford, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 23 June 2026

Ref: SW25.26-375

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach Limited for a pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 23 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration, between 7pm and 11.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath Exton to Oldmixon Crescent industrial estate, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 1 September 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities Limited for gas mains replacement. This order will become operative on the 1 September 2026 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 21 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

William Daw Close, Banwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 1 June 2026

Ref: SW25.26-378

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by J.A.O Groundworks Ltd to install drainage. This order will become operative on the 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 57 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - William Daw Close from the junction with Knightcott Gardens to outside 9 William Daw Close. Access will be maintained for residents.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Barton Road, Winscombe, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 22 April 2026

Ref: SW25.26-312

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach Limited for cabling work. This order will become operative on the 22 April 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Somerset Avenue, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary 30mph Speed Restriction Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 21 April 2026

Ref: RQ01488930946-01

Will be to restrict, temporarily, any vehicles from exceeding 30mph on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions for emergency services in an emergency situation.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to remove Ash significantly affected by Ash Dieback and works to retained trees which pose an unacceptable risk to highway users. This order will become operative on the 21 April 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 9 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Somerset Avenue, Weston-super-Mare temporary 30mph speed limit between the Airport and Hutton Moor roundabouts.

Martcombe Road, Easton-in-Gordano, North Somerset

Temporary Suspension of 2+ Lane Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 9 April 2026

Ref: RQ01453577626-01

Will be to suspend the 2+ lane as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council for the removal of Ash trees which are significantly affected by Ash Dieback and dead Elms, all of which pose an unacceptable level of risk to highway users. This order will become operative on the 9 April 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
