AND HIGH STREET WEST SUNDERLAND) ORDER 20--
NOTICE is given that Sunderland City Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 33, 35 and 99-102 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, by virtue of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act. The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce a no waiting at any time and no loading and unloading at any time restrictions along the road in Schedule 1. Introduce the Back Hylton Road Car Park in Schedule 2 and revoke the High Street West Surface Car Park from Schedule 1 of the City of Sunderland (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2015 as amended by The City of Sunderland (Pay By Phone) (Amendment) Order 2021 and The City of Sunderland (Off-Street Parking Places (Amendment) Traffic Regulation Order 2025. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA, until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to proceed to make the Order. Objections relating to the Order must be made in writing to

on or before the 11th May 2026 and any objection must state the grounds on which it is made. Please quote reference: JA/83302 in all correspondence. Schedule 1 Back Hylton Road, Sunderland, the south-east side from a point 3.9 metres north-east of the extended party property boundary of 17 & 19 Hylton Road, for a distance of 42.7 metres in a north-easterly direction. Schedule 2 Back Hylton Road Car Park, located on the south of Hylton Road, Sunderland, for passenger vehicles, motor cycles, invalid carriages and goods vehicles not in excess of 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight operating on all days, excluding Christmas Day at all hours with a charge of 80p per hour or part thereof, or £3.50 all day.
