TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
ROSELAND ROAD, WIMMERFIELD DRIVE, HENDREFOILAN DRIVE , UPLANDS TERRACE, MORFYDD STREET ROUNDABOUT, A4067 FFORDD CWM TAWE, VARDRE ROAD, MOND MINI R/A & YNYS PENLLWCH, CAE MANSEL ROAD, SWANSEA NOTICE 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) has made an Order. In order for Swansea Council to undertake resurfacing works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above named road to vehicular traffic.

SCHEDULE
SCHEDULE 1- TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ROSELAND ROAD, WAUNARLWYDD 13th to 15th April - 3 days - 09.00 to 17.00
Roseland Road from its junction with Swansea Road, in a southerly direction a distance of approximately 300 metres.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic. Drawing 1405

SCHEDULE 2 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WIMMERFIELD DRIVE, KILLAY 15th to 22nd April - 6 nights - 18.00 to 0.00
Wimmerfield Drive from its junction with A4118 Gower Road in a northerly direction to its junction with Dunvant Road, a distance of approximately 350 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via, Dunvant Road, Goetre Fawr Road and A4118 Gower Road, a distance of approximately 2.3 kilometres.
This route will operate in reverse direction Drawing 4642A

SCHEDULE 3 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
HENDREFOILAN DRIVE & AVENUE, KILLAY - 20th to 27th April - 6 nights - 18.00 to 0.00
Hendrefoilan Drive and Hendrefoilan Avenue from its junction with A4118 Gower Road, over their entire length a distance of approximately 950 metres.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic. Drawing 4642C

SCHEDULE 4 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
UPLANDS TERRACE, and RICHMOND TERRACE, SWANSEA 28th to 30th April - 3 nights - 18.00 to 0.00
Uplands Terrace and Richmond Terrace from its junction with The Grove in an easterly direction to its junction with Cwmdonkin Drive a distance of approximately 150 metres. 
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via The Grove, Glanmor Road, Penlan Crescent, and Cwmdonkin Drive a distance of approximately 2 kilometres.
This route will operate in reverse direction and is suitable for light vehicles only. Drawing No 4642B

SCHEDULE 5 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MORFYDD STREET ROUNDABOUT, MORRISTON - 30th April to 1st May - 2 nights - 21.00 to 06.00
Morfydd Street from its junction with Glantawe Street in an easterly direction to its junction with Harris Street a distance of approximately 250 metres Due to one-way streets the alternative route will be in two parts:-

South bound traffic will be via Crown Street, Glantawe Street, Market Street and Lower
Banwell street a distance of approximately 450m Drawing No 4642E
Nort bound traffic will be Upper Banwell Street, Harris Street and Crown Street a distance of approximately 500 metres Drawing No 4642E.

SCHEDULE 6- TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
VARDRE ROAD, CLYDACH - 7th May to 15th May - 7 nights - 18.00 - 0.00
Vardre Road from its Junction with Capel Road in a Northerly direction to its junction with Heol Eithrim, a distance of approximately 450 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via, the unaffected section of Vardre Road, St B4603 High Street, Heol Y Nant and Heol Eithrim a distance of approximately 1.0 kilometres.

This route will operate in reverse direction and is suitable for light vehicles only. Drawing 4642D

SCHEDULE 7- TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MOND MINI R/A & YNYS PENLLWCH, CLYDACH- 18th to 22nd May-5 nights - 19.00 to 01.00

Part 1
Pontardawe Road from its Junction with Capel Road in a westerly direction to its junction with Vardre Road, a distance of approximately 750 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via, the unaffected section of Vardre Road, and Capel Road a distance of approximately 900 metres.

This route will operate in reverse direction and is suitable for light vehicles only. Drawing 4642G

Part 2
Ynys Penllwch Road from its junction with Vadre Road in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 250 metres
The alternative route will be via the unaffected section of Ynys Penllwch Road, A4067 Ffordd Cwmtawe, A4067 M4 Junction 45 Roundabout, B4603 Clydach Road, B4603 Hebron Road and B4603 High Street a distance of approximately 7.1 Kilometres This route will operate in reverse direction and is suitable for light vehicles only. SCHEDULE 8- TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CAE MANSEL ROAD, GOWERTON - 10th to 21st August - days - 07.30 to 17.00
Caemansel Road from its junction with Mount Pleasant in a south-westerly direction, to its junction with Joiners Road/Dunvant Road, a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometres. 

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Dunvant Road, Killan Road, B4296 Walters Row, B4296 Garrod Avenue, B4296 Cecil Road, Park Road and Mount Pleasant, a distance of approximately 6 kilometres. Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction. Drawing 1874

SCHEDULE 9 - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CWM LEVEL ROUNDABOUT- 5 th to 8 th May - 4 nights - 22.00 to 06.00 A4067 Ffordd Cwm Tawe to north and south bound traffic from Plasmarl Roundabout / Martin Street in a southerly direction to Landor / White Rock Roundabout a distance of approximately 2.5 Kilometres. There will be no access at Cwm Level Road and Neath Road junctions.

The alternative route will be the unaffected section of the A4067 Ffordd Cwm Tawe, A48 Clase Road, Valley Way, Siemens Way, Nantong Way, Brunel Way, the unnamed A4217 known as Pentrechwyth bypass and the unnamed A4067 Pentrechwyth to Neath Road Link a distance of approximately 5.8 kilometres

Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction. Drawing 4642H

SCHEDULE 10 REVOKE NO ENTRY AND BUS LANE
NEATH ROAD BUS LINK LANDORE

Neath road bus link / lane from its junction with Tabernacle Street to its junction with Neath Road, allowing residents and business vehicular traffic to access this section of Neath Road. Drawing No :- 4642I

Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.
The maximum duration of the order is 18 months and it is anticipated the work will take 6 months to complete effective from Monday 13th April 2026.
