Knowle Lane (D184) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will temporary prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Knowle Lane (D184) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Waterbridge Stables” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Kiln House”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Knowle Lane (D184) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Knowle Lane, (B2128) High Street, (B2128) The Common, (B2130) Elmbridge Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (S281) Guildford Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) Guildford Road, Wildwood Lane, and Knowle Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate service pipe repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 11.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 May 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic, including emergency services vehicles will be required to follow the diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Moormede Crescent (D3282) Staines Upon Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Moormede Crescent (D3282) Staines Upon Thames as extends from its junction with (D3282) Fairfield Avenue to its junction with (D3321) Waters Drive. Alternative Route: Moormede Crescent and Fairfield Avenue, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of WHP Telecoms.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 May 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Cadbury Road (A244) Sunbury On Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned
Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles
from entering or proceeding in that length of Cadbury Road (A244)
Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction with (C233) Chertsey
Road and (C233) Groveley Road to its junction with (D6342) Marlin
Close.
Alternative Route: Groveley Road, Vicarage Road, (A308) Staines Road East, (A308) Staines Road West, and (A244) Cadbury Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate remedial works for, or on behalf of Cappagh.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 May 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 08 April 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Old Blacknest Cottage” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Oaks Yard”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Chiddingfold Road, High Street Green, Pickhurst Road, The Green, (A283) Petworth Road, (A283) Cripplecrutch Hill, Shillinglee Road, Dunsfold Road, Plaistow Road, and Chiddingfold Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 April 2026.

Sydenham Road (D4014) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 08 April 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sydenham Road (D4014) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4014) Bright Hill to its junction with (D4014) Brodie Road.
Alternative Route: (1) Sydenham Road, Jenner Road, (A246) Epsom Road, (A3100) London Road, (A246) York Road, (A322) Onslow Street, (A281) Millbrook, (A281) Quarry Street, (A281) Shalford Road, Pilgrims Way, Echo Pit Road, Warwicks Bench Road, Warwicks Bench, South Hill, and Sydenham Road; (2) South Hill, Warwicks Bench, Warwicks Bench Road, Echo Pit Road, Pilgrims Way, (A281) Shalford Road, (A281) Quarry Street, (A281) Millbrook, (A322) Onslow Street, (A31) Farnham Road, (A322) Bridge Street, (A322) Onslow Street, (A246) York Road, (A3100) London Road,, (A246) Epsom Road, and Jenner Road.
This Order is required to facilitate service pipe relay works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 11.30pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Clay Lane (C14) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn Order 2026
On 08 April 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling southbound on Clay Lane (C14) Guildford from turning left into (A3) Guildford- Godalming By-Pass.
Alternative Route: Southbound on (A3100) Clay Lane, northbound (A3100) Clay Lane, and (A3) Guildford- Godalming By-Pass.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to facilitate structural inspection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Kier.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 April 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary prohibition will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Bury Street (D4016) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 08 April 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to; (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Bury Street (D4016) Guildford; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Bury Street (D4016) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” and “The Surrey County Council Bury Street (D4016) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects the length of road described in part (a) of this Notice; and “Borough of Guildford The Guildford Traffic Regulation Order 1965” as amended insofar as it affects the length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. This is to allow access to properties within the length of road specified within the Notice.
Alternative Route: (1) Bury Fields, Lawn Road, Millmead Terrace, Bury Street, (A3100) Portsmouth Road, and High Street; (2) Bury Street, High Street, (A3100) Portsmouth Road, Bury Street, Millmead Terrace, Bury Fields, and Bury Street.
This Order is required to facilitate S278 works for, or on behalf of Zack Contractors Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried over 4 weeks, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site.
Thorkhill Road (C161) Thames Ditton
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2026
On 08 April 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles in that length of; (a) the northbound carriageway of Thorkhill Road (C161) Thames Ditton as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.28 and No.30 Thorkhill Road to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.32 and No.34 Thorkhill Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Elmbridge) (Revocation and Consolidation of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Prohibition and Restriction) Order 2021” as amended, insofar as it affects that length of road specified within the Order.
This Temporary Order is required to facilitate a safe working zone for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 24 April 2026.
This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs.
Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
C46 Hound House Road, Shere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 8 April 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C46 Hound House Road, Shere which extends from its junction with Lawbrook Lane northwards to its junction with the access road leading to Hackney Hill Farm.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing, and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Staines Road West (A308) and
Escot Road (D6245) Sunbury-on-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 March 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- (a) Staines Road West (A308) Sunbury-on-Thames as extends from its junction Sunbury Cross Roundabout (M3 Junction 1) to its junction with Cadbury Road (A244); and (b) Escot Road (D6245) Sunbury-on-Thames as extends from its junction with Staines Road West (A308) to a point 20 metres south of this junction.
Alternative route – Vicarage Road, Groveley Road and A244 (Cadbury Road), or this route in reverse. For vehicles exiting Escot Road – A308 (Staines Road West), Vicarage Road, Groveley Road and A244 (Cadbury Road). For vehicles accessing Escot Road – A308 (Staines Road West), Vicarage Road, Groveley Road, A244 (Cadbury Road) and A308 (Staines Road West).
This Order is required to enabl e the Council to facilitate installation of new detector loops, resurfacing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Thorncombe Street (D199) Bramley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 7 April 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Thorncombe Street (D199) Bramley as extends from the access for Winkworth Arboretum to the northern boundary of the property known as “Lodkin”.
Alternative route – Alldens Hill, Alldens Lane, Munstead Heath Road, B2130 (Hascombe Road) and Lodkin Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable M Group Telecoms to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 April 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained by a gatesman.
Green Street (C230) Sunbury
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 27 March 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Green Street (C230) Sunbury as extends from its junction with Lyndhurst Avenue (D6251) to its junction with Forge Lane (D6252).
Alternative route – Green Street, Manor Lane, The Avenue and Thames Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Cappagh Contractors Ltd to facilitate sewer cover replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 April 2026 for 1 evening between the hours of 7.00pm and 11.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Shophouse Lane (D194) Albury
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 27 Match 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Shophouse Lane (D194) Albury as extends from its junction with Row Lane (D224) to its junction with Row Lane (D194).
Alternative route – Row Lane, Winterfold Heath Road, Alderbrook Road, Smithwood Common Road, B2128 (Guildford Road, Stroud Common, Church Hill and The Green), Woodhill Lane, Farley Heath Road and August Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate a new service connection and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 April 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 8 April 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing, alternative treatment (joint and crack sealing and/or haunching scheme works) and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
