(PORTSMOUTH FOOTPATH NO. 105)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION
ORDER 2026
The above-named Order, made on date 26 March 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the above-named public footpath from its original alignment which commences at a point on Compton Road and proceeds southward through properties past the Church of St Nicholas to Battenburg Avenue; to a new alignment commencing on Compton Road west of the original alignment and proceeding southwards through an alleyway to Battenburg Avenue.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Portsmouth City Council, Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, PO1 2AL . Copies of the Order and the map can be provided on request.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Rights of Way Team, Portsmouth City Council, Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, PO1 2AL or via e-mail
rightsofway@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
to no later than 8 May 2026 Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Portsmouth City Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
