Temporary closure of West Hill and The Batch

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: West Hill - from the junction with Atkins Hill, eastwards incorporating The Batch to the junction with Shadwell Lane. A total distance of 749 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out drainage works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

The Order becomes effective on 3rd April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 7th April 2026 and last until 17th April 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 11 days.
