SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5923 WALSHAM ROAD, WATTISHFIELD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5923 Walsham Road, Wattishfield from no. 4 for 30 metres south eastbound to facilitate manhole repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, Summer Road, Summer Road, A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 09/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C603 BEECHES ROAD, WEST ROW
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C603 Beeches Road, West Row from the junction with Jarmans Lane, for 30 metres south to facilitate Stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Jarmans Lane, Beeches Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 30/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C637 HOPTON ROAD, THELNETHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C637 Hopton Road, Thelnetham from Baggins End for 50 metres southeast bound to facilitate manhole repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Hopton Road, Thelnetham Road, the B1111, the A1066, the B1113, School Road, Rickinghall Road, Gobbets Lane, Tuffen Lane, Church Lane, Hopton Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 09/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C353 MONUMENT FARM ROAD, FOXHALL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C353 Monument Farm Road, Foxhall to facilitate bridge parapet repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Foxhall Road, Purdis Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 09/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C612 Herringswell Road, Kentford from 160 metres north of level crossing, for 30 metres northbound to facilitate a sewer connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1506, the B1085, Dane Hill Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 10/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2611 REDHOUSE ROAD, BADINGHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2611 Redhouse Road, Badingham from the junction with Mill Road to the junction with New Road to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Mill Road, Low Street, the A1120, Pound Green and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C543 LONG GREEN, BEDFIELD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C543 Long Green, Bedfield from 550 metres north of the junction with Monk Soham Lane for 40 metres northbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Cemetery Road, Earl Soham Road, Bedfield Road, the A1120, Spring Lane, Tannington Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 10/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C964 RAVENSMERE AND U1738 RAVENSMERE EAST, BECCLES
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
• C964 Ravensmere, Beccles from the junction with Ravensmere East for 30 metres southbound
• U1738 Ravensmere East, Beccles from the junction with Ravensmere for 13 metres eastbound to facilitate carriageway works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Pound Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/04/2026. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C430 GEDDING ROAD, DRINKSTONE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C430 Gedding Road, Drinkstone from 157 metres south of the junction with The Street for 275 metres southbound to facilitate tree branch removal. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Gedding Road, The Street, Beyton Road, The Street, The Green, Manor Road, Road from C695 to C427, Bury Road, Drinkstone Road, Road from C429 to C695, C430 from C426 to C695 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/04/2026 - 17/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 08/04/2026 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3419 The Street, Pettistree from 80 metres east of the junction with Thong Hall Road for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate repairing a fire hydrant. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Pressmere Road, Pettistree, Vale Lodge Road, Main Road, Pettistree and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 09/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6241 HEATHERSett WAY AND THE F7070 BROOMHILL CLOSE UNASSOCIATED FOOTWAY, RED LODGE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following road and footway:
• the U6241 Heathsett Way, Red Lodge from the junction with Bennett Road to Warren Road
• the F7070 Broomhill Close Unassociated Footway, Red Lodge from Heatherset Way for 60 metres eastbound.
This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion routes will be:
• (road closure) Warren Road, Bennett Road and vice versa.
• (footway closure) Broomhill Close, Heatherset Way and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 27/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3433 WHITE FOOT LANE AND THE U3405 CLOPTON ROAD, BURGH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U3433 White Foot Lane, Burgh from the junction with Boulge Road to Marshview Cottages
  2. U3405 Clopton Road, Burgh from the junction with Boulge Road to the junction with Drabs Lane.
    This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
    The diversion routes will be:
  3. Mill Hill, Burgh Corner, Grundisburgh Road and vice versa.
  4. Drabs Lane, Grundisburgh Road, Burgh Corner, Mill Hill, Boulge Road and vice versa.
    It is intended that the closures will operate from:
  5. 07/04/2026 - 09/04/2026
  6. 10/04/2026 - 16/04/2026.
    If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C566 FROM U5249 TO U5218, MENDLESHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C566 from U5249 to U5218, Mendlesham from Mendlesham Green for 100 metres southbound to facilitate replacing a telegraph pole and rehanging associated cabling. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be C566 from U5249 to U5218, Road from C409 to 5249, Road from C566 to Parish Border, Debenham Road, the A140, Road from C566 to A140, Brockford Road, Church Road, Front Street, Old Station Road, Stowmarket Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 08/04/2026 from 9am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C530 CHURCH ROAD AND THE U5607 LOW ROAD, REDLINGFIELD AND DENHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. the C530 Church Road, Redlingfield
  2. the U5607 Low Road, Redlingfield
  3. the U5607 Low Road, Denham
    This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
    The diversion routes will be:
  4. Green Lane, Redlingfield Road, Worlingworth Road, Horham, Southolt Road, Athelington, Athelington Road, Southolt, Park Road, Woodlane Road, Church Road, Redlingfield and vice versa.
  5. the B1117, Worlingworth Road, Redlingfield Road, Horham, Green Lane, Redlingfield and vice versa.
    It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 10/04/2026 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1066 BURY ROAD, HARTES (text partially unclear)
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1066 Bury Road, Hartest from Hill Farm Bungalow to Peartree Farm to facilitate the installation of new signing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A143, the A134, the A1022, the B1066 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 08/04/2026 from 9:30am - 2:30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C744 Burton End, Haverhill from Greenfields Way to Yew Tree Gardens to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the A1017, the A1307, Crowland Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE B1070 THE STREET, BENTON STREET, BENTON END AND UPPER STREET, RAYDON, HADLEIGH AND LAYHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. B1070 The Street, Raydon from Woodlands Road for 150 metres northbound
  2. B1070 The Street, Raydon from Woodlands Road for 60 metres southbound.
    This is to facilitate the installation of fibre duct. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
    The diversion route will be the B1070, the A12, the A1214, the A1071, the B1070 and vice versa.
    For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on:
    • B1070 Benton Street, Hadleigh
    • B1070 Benton End, Hadleigh
    • B1070 The Street, Layham
    • B1070 Upper Street, Layham.
    It is intended that these measures will operate from 07/04/2026 - 09/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

    This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
    The diversion routes will be:
  3. Blackthorpe, Almshouse Road, The Green and vice versa.
  4. Elderstub Lane, Blackthorpe, Almshouse Road and vice versa.
    It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/04/2026 - 17/04/2026 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C701 Chapel Hill, Brettenham from 178 metres northwest of Bury Road for 30 metres north westbound to facilitate repairs to a communication pipe. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bury Road, The Street, Church Road, Brettenham, Benton Lane, High Town Green, Brettenham Road, Felsham Road, Rattlesden Road, Lower Green, Church Road, Felsham, Cockfield Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 07/04/2026 - 08/04/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON PART OF THE C693 NEW ROAD AND U8009 PRIORS CLOSE, ROUGHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C693 New Road, Rougham from Kingshall Street to Church Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works and storage of plant and equipment. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Kingshall Street, Moat Lane, Almshouse Road, Church Road, New Road and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a prohibition of waiting on the U8009 Priors Close, Rougham. There will be no exceptions.
As this road closure is required to permit essential works to the highway, any vehicles that remain in the area affected during the period of restriction, may be removed in accordance with powers available to do so.
