TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (East) (No.8) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a southern part width of Millers Way and two western part widths of Millers Way at Kirkby-in-Ashfield, in the District of Ashfield. This is to enable development as permitted by Ashfield District Council, under reference V/2025/0433.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO9869335). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Ashfield District Council, Urban Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, NG17 8DA.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 08 April 2026. N Crass, Casework Manager
