CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(MYERS ROAD, POTTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Myers Road, Potton outside number 1.

This temporary closure is required to enable chamber cover and frame repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 29 April 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Everton Rd, Myers Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 27 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Anglian Water - 0800145145

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HOLME CRESCENT, BIGGLESWADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Holme Crescent, Biggleswade opposite number 84.

This temporary closure is required to enable comms pipe repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 17 April 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period. There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 13 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church St, Biggleswade outside Coffeelicious.

This temporary closure is required to enable new gas supply works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 13 top 14 April 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Church St, High St and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 13 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO EXTEND

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON CHASE CLOSE, ARLESEY

Reason for proposal: The purpose of this proposal is to improve safety for all road users and to reduce the likelihood of danger arising, as well as to facilitate the safe and efficient passage of traffic, including pedestrians. Specifically, the proposed waiting restrictions on Mill Road are intended to improve visibility for drivers.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Arlesey:-

1. Chase Close, north side, from a point approximately 11 metres south-west of the shared boundary between Nos. 1 and 2 Chase Close (where the existing double yellow lines end), extending north-eastwards for approximately 3 metres, up to the start of the dropped-kerb access to No. 1.

2. Chase Close, south side, from a point approximately 10 metres south-west of the shared boundary between Nos. 1 and 2 Chase Close (where the existing double yellow lines end), extending north-eastwards for approximately 15 metres, up to the start of the dropped-kerb access to No 54.
