Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition
of Through Traffic Order 2026 – Bright Street
Ref: 27-018
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Bright Street, as lies between Bourges Boulevard and Cromwell Road, Eastbound only. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Bourges Boulevard, Westgate, Lincoln Road and Bright Street. The proposed order will come into force on the 13/04/2026 and will continue until the traffic signal refurbishment works have been completed or until the 12/04/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 13/04/2026 and the 01/05/2026.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle or pedestrian from proceeding along the road known as Cardinals Gate, Werrington, as lies between Davids Lane and a point 70m east. The Council is satisfied that traffic and pedestrians should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles and pedestrians affected by this order is: For vehicles: None available, access maintained. For pedestrians: via Davids Lane, Footpaths around Monks Grove and Cardinals Gate, Cardinals Gate and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 13/04/2026 and will continue until the cable installation works have been completed or until the 12/04/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 13/04/2026 and the 21/04/2026.

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Lincoln Road, as lies between Brotherhood entrance and Morrisons entrance. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is signed locally on site. The Order will come into operation on the 14/04/2026 and will continue until the new water connection works have been completed or until the 13/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed overnight only from 2000-0600 between the 14/04/2026 and 17/04/2026.

The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is signed locally on site. The Order will come into operation on the 13/04/2026 and will continue until the cut and patch works have been completed or until the 12/10/2027, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between the 13/04/2026 and 14/04/2026.

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Star Road, Wellington Street, St Johns Road, Vineyard Road, Bishops Road and vice-versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/04/2026 and will continue until the electrical box replacement works have been completed or until the 09/04/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from 1900 on the 10/04/2026 to 0600 on the 13/04/2026.

The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: St Martins Street, Lincoln Road, Alma Road and vice-versa.The Order will come into operation on the 11/04/2026 and will continue until the footway reinstatement works have been completed or until the 10/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on 11/04/2026 between 0900 and 1300.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Marne Avenue, as lies between Lincoln Road and 1 Marne Avenue. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Lincoln Road south to J18, Lincoln Road north, Mountsteven Avenue, Marne Avenue and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 14/04/2026 and will continue until the fire hydrant re-chamber works have been completed or until the 13/04/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 14/04/2026 and the 16/04/2026.

The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is signed locally on site. The proposed Order will come into operation on 20/04/2026 and will continue until the gas main replacement works have been completed or until the 19/04/2027, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 20/04/2026 and 18/05/2026.

The proposed order will come into force on the 23/04/2026 and will continue until the new water connection works have been completed or until the 22/04/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 23/04/2026 and the 24/04/2026.

Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 21:00 on the 20/04/2026 and 06:00 on the 21/04/2026.

The proposed order will come into force on the 21/04/2026 and will continue until the communication pipe repair works have been completed or until the 20/04/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 21/04/2026 and the 23/04/2026.
