What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

FOOTPATH E1, MELTON MOWBRAY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 11/05/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 10 days to allow Mars Petcare UK to undertake cooler tower relocation works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Regent St, Mill St, Burton St, Burton Rd, Baldock’s Ln & vice versa.

TEMPORARY IMPLEMENTATION OF 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 11/05/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway surface repairs. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

BROOKSBY ROAD, HOBY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 23/04/2026 and have a maximum duration of 1 month. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 21 days to allow National Grid to carry out supply infrastructure reinforcement work in the highway. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The Order will come into force on 20/04/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 10 days to allow National Grid to undertake street light repair & connection works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Chapel St, Queens St, High St, Market St, Rectory Ln, Devon Ln – one-way only, Devon Ln, Rectory Ln, Chapel St – one-way only.

The Order will come into force on 20/04/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 14 days to allow BT Openreach to undertake ducting & cabling works. The proposed diversion route will be via: St Bartholomew's Wy, Nottingham Rd A606, Wartnaby Rd, Chapel Ln, Welby Ln, Ab Kettleby; Welby Ln, Asfordby Valley; Welby Rd, Welby & vice versa.
