Portsmouth City Council (Cross Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.62) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 9th April 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CROSS STREET (SOUTHBOUND)
From its junction with Prince George Street to Cumberland Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 9th April 2026 to 10th April 2026or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Bonfire Corner, Admiralty Road, Queen Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
