(SOUTH STREET AREA – WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND LOADING
RESTRICTIONS) (EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC) (MAP SCHEDULE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 9 April 2026 Sheffield City Council made the
above Orders which come into operation on 20 April 2026 under the provisions of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Orders will be to introduce:
Prohibition of Vehicles on part of South Street between Shrewsbury Road and
Norfolk Road
No waiting at any time on parts of Claywood Road, Norfolk Road, Shrewsbury Road,
South Street, and Talbot Street
No loading Monday to Friday 08:00 to 09:30 and 16:30 to 18:30 on parts of
Claywood Road, Shrewsbury Road and Talbot Street
And remove:
No waiting Monday to Friday 08:00 to 09:30 and 16:30 to 18:30 on parts of
Shrewsbury Road and Talbot Street
No waiting Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 18:30 on parts of Norfolk Road and South
Street

Between 20 April 2026 and 20 October 2026.

The City Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the
Experimental Orders should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to
object to the making of an Order for such indefinite continuation may do so, giving
the grounds for the objection on

writing to the undersigned by 20 October 2026.
Any alterations to these Orders which will render it less restrictive may be authorised
by the Director of Investment, Climate Change and Planning without the requirement
to re-advertise the Order under Section 10(2) of the said Act, and after consultation
with the Chief Officer of Police.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of these Orders or any of its
provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a
requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder
has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 20 April 2026, make application
for that purpose to the High Court.
