What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
WORKS ROAD, HOLLINGWOOD
WHEN: 27 April to 14 June 2026
WHERE: Works Road, Hollingwood between its Jct. with Troughbrook Road to its Jct. with Station Road (Barrow Hill).
REASON: To facilitate drilling works under the canal and river.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Station Road, Hall Lane, Eckington Road, A619 Lowgates / Duke Street / Market Street / Chesterfield Road / Troughbrook Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
