NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of the junction between High Street and The Causeway Clophill.
This temporary closure is required to enable ducting work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 29 April 2026 between the hours of 0800 and 1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via High St - Shefford Rd, A507, A6 Clophill Roundabout High St and vice versa.
The Causeway – Shefford Rd, A507, the Causeway and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 27 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Greenfield Road, Westoning 20m either side of bridge.
This temporary closure is required to enable devvegetation and examination works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on
14 April 2026 between the hours of 0900-1539hrs. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure will be via Westoning Road, Greenfield Rd, Maulden Rd, A507, A5120, Maulden Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 14 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Blunham outside number 74.
This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant cover and frame repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 15 to 17 April 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Barford Rd, Willington Rd, Barford Rd, A603, Blunham Rd, Station Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 15 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES
TO EXTEND NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON MILL
ROAD, CRANFIELD
Reason for proposal: The purpose of this proposal is to improve safety for all road users and to reduce the likelihood of danger arising, as well as to facilitate the safe and efficient passage of traffic, including pedestrians. Specifically, the proposed waiting restrictions on Mill Road are intended to improve visibility for drivers exiting the junction with Springfield Way.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Cranfield:-
1. Mill Road, south-east side, from a point approximately 12 metres from the centre of the junction with Springfield Road (where the existing double yellow lines end),and extending south-west for approximately 7 metres (up to a point in line with the telegraph pole).

Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (ASPLEY GUISE: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 21) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
On 27 March 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert part of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise as described below.
The length of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise to be stopped up extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9361 3578 in a generally south-south-easterly direction for approximately 44 metres through the garden of No. 116 West Hill to terminate at its junction with the roadway West Hill at OS GR SP 9363 3574.
The footpath is stopped up across its full width.
The length of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise to be created extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 21, Aspley Guise at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9361 3578 in a generally south-easterly direction for approximately 51 metres along a dirt track to terminate at its junction with the roadway West Hill at OS GR SP 9364 3575. The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.

The order came into force on 3 April 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 2 April 2026 make an application to the High Court.

(MAULDEN: PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.4)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on the 3 October 2025 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Footpath No. 4, Maulden which extends from its junction with New Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0550 3662 for a distance of approximately 370 metres to its junction with the A507 at OS GR TL 0556 3627 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 12 April 2027.
This temporary closure is required for safety purposes due to the condition of a section of the bank revetment. The closure is expected to continue from 13 April 2026 for up to twelve months.
There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation. Please use other local public rights of way in the meantime.
