TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

RENHOLD ROAD, WILDEN AND  

WILDEN ROAD RENHOLD 26 – 004

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough

Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Renhold Road, Wilden and Wilden Road Renhold.

This temporary road closure is required to replace damaged kerbs and carriageway repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation from 20th April 2026 to 14th May 2026 20:00 - 06:00 hours

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via High Street, Ravensden Road, Church End, Church Hill, Renhold Road, Wilden Road.

The reverse route applies.

Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of Keeley Lane, Wootton.

This temporary road closure is required for the connection of a foul sewer and new water main and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 13th April 2026 to 17th April 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Keeley Lane, Hall End Road, Bedford Road, Wootton Road, Wood End Lane, Wood End Road.

The reverse route applies.

Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Harrowden Lane, Cardington side of 259 Bedford Road.

This temporary road closure is required to locate supply pipe and install stop tap and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 16:00 hours from 22nd April 2026 to 24th April 2026

This temporary road closure is required to excavate and reinstate to repair manhole in carriageway and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 05:00hours from 21st April 2026 to 22nd April 2026

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate replace approx. 700m of 4” ci with 90mm and any associated services and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 13th April 2026 to 29th May 2026

Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Queen Bridge Kempston Urban, Kempston Urban footpath 24, and Kempston Urban footpath 15.

These temporary footpath closure(s) are required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge demolition is carried out and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

These temporary footpath closure(s) are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 6th April 2026 to 15th May 2026

Pedestrians affected by the proposed Order should follow the diversion route as appropriate. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 20th April 2026 to 22nd May 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Stewartby Way, Green Lane, Woburn Road.

The reverse route applies.
