TEMPORARY CLOSURE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 4/11/25, made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any persons from proceeding along the full length of Public Bridleway No. 0.1009 Lapley, Stretton and Wheaton Aston Parish and Public Bridleway No. 0.856(a) Blymhill and Weston under Lizard Parish from the junction with Public Bridleway No. 21 Lapley, Stretton and Wheaton Aston Parish to the junction of Public Bridleway No.20 Blymhill and Weston under Lizard.
The closure is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public using the bridleway due to the condition of the bridge and the subsequent works required.
A plan will be displayed showing the length of the public footpath to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order came into operation on 6/11/25 and has been extended for a further period of 12 months, until 6/4/27 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been approved by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.
