(COPSE ROAD, FLEETWOOD, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian to proceed over that length of Copse Road, Fleetwood from its junction with Amounderness Way to its junction with Kilbane Street.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0600 hours on Wednesday 22nd April 2026 until 1700 hours on Thursday 31st December 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic/pedestrians/cyclists affected by the closure is via:-
i. Vehicular Traffic – Amoundernous Way – Denham Way and vice versa.
ii. Cyclists/ Pedestrians - Larkholme Avenue - Fleetwood Road and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow Murphy Group to install a 1.5km pipeline from Fleetwood WwTW's to the sea outfall to replace the existing pipeline on behalf of United Utilities.
