Poundisford Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Manhole Sealing Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Pitminster Temporary Closure of Poundisford Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Poundisford Road - from the junction with Pitminster Road, northwards for a total distance of 542 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to seal manhole covers to prevent infiltration.
The Order becomes effective on 16th April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 21st April 2026 and last until 22nd April 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 2 days.
