What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C61 (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its property known as The Malthouse to its property known as Bruin House to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out frame and cover repair and associated works. Alternative route via C61 (unaffected length) – A30 – C295 – C61 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 April 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) C294 (Part), Durnford; from outside its property known as Manor Farm for a distance of approximately 120m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole replacement and other associated works. Alternative route via C294 (unaffected length) – C292 – UC 133601 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 April 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

C) C43 (Part), Fonthill Gifford; from a point approximately 265m south west of its property known as Tisbury Lodge for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C43 (unaffected length) – Hatch Lane – Tuckingmill – C25 – C43 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 April 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. D) Elston Lane, Shrewton and Orcheston; from its property known as El Tluche for a distance of approximately 80m in a northerly direction to enable MJ Abbott to carry out new foul water connection via open trench and associated works. Alternative route via Elston Lane (unaffected length) – B3086 – A360 – C291 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 April 2026 and the closure will be required until 17 April 2026. F) Fairfield Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Waters Road for its entire length to enable Wessex Water to carry out water main replacement and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 06 April 2026 and the closure will be required until 22 May 2026. G) Watercress Lane (Part), Donhead St Andrew; from a point approximately 160m north east of its property known as Rowberry Cottages for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via Watercress Lane (unaffected length) – C312 – C12 – A30 – Watercress Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 06 April 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. Orders A) to G) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
