LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LYTHAM ROAD, WESTBY WITH PLUMPTONS, FYLDE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Lytham Road, Westby With Plumptons for 20 metres either side of the Moss Side level crossing.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 2300 hours on Saturday 18th April 2026 until 0700 hours on Sunday 19th April 2026 or until completion of the works within this period
4. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Lytham Road, Saltcotes Road, Preston Road, Church Road, Bryning Lane, Moss Side Lane, The Green, Ribby Road, Moss Side Lane
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow an annual level crossing inspection works to be carried out by Centurion Traffic Management on behalf of Network Rail.
