ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Wolverhampton Road East its entire length in both directions.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on one day between 16th April 2026 and 24th April 2026, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00.
Vehicular Diversion Route: SB Parkfield Road, Birmingham New Road, Hurst Road, Gorge Road, Bilston Street, High Street and Wolverhampton Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: NB Wolverhampton Road, High Street, Bullring, High Street, Bilston Street, Gorge Road, Hurst Road, Birmingham New Road and Parkfield Road.
The Order is required to facilitate pre-patching prior to surface treatment works.
