(TEMPORARY AMENDMENT) ORDER 2026
The Lancashire County Council (“the County Council”) in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, (the Act), and of all other enabling powers, HEREBY makes the following Order:-
The Lancashire County Council (B5254 TOWNGATE, WESTGATE, CARLTON ROAD, LEYLAND, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) Order 2026, is hereby temporarily Amended in that:
i. To amend Article 8 as follows:
This order will be in force from 0700 hours on Monday 20th April 2026 until 1800 hours on Monday 22nd November 2027 or until completion of the works within this period.
ii. To add Article 9 as follows:
To prohibit any motor vehicle from waiting on Westgate, Leyland (Westbound carriageway only) from 0700 hours to 1800 hours, Monday to Friday from its junction with Carlton Road for a distance of 23 metres in an easterly direction.
iii. To add Article 10 as follows:
To temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle from loading and unloading on Westgate, Leyland (Westbound carriageway only) from 0700 hours to 1800 hours, Monday to Friday from its junction with Carlton Road for a distance of 23 metres in an easterly direction.
iv. To add Article 11 as follows:
To temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle from waiting on Carlton Road, Leyland from 0700 hours to 1800 hours, Monday to Friday from its junction with Regent Road for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction.
v. To add Article 12 as follows:
To temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle from loading and unloading on Carlton Road, Leyland from 0700 hours to 1800 hours, Monday to Friday from its junction with Regent Road for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction.
This Temporary Amendment Order shall come into operation on Friday 27th March 2026 and may be cited as “The Lancashire County Council (B5254 TOWNGATE, WESTGATE, CARLTON ROAD, LEYLAND, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) Order 2026 (Temporary Amendment) Order 2026”
