Various Roads, Hucknall - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving, Waiting, Loading And Unloading Order

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, HUCKNALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (A26-030)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Hucknall in the District of Ashfield The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Ruffs Drive, Hucknall - From its junction with Watnall Road for a distance of 20 metres in a north westerly direction

b. Watnall Road, Hucknall (northwestbound only) (at all times) From its junction with Nabbs Lane to its junction with Aerial Way

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road
a. Ruffs Drive, Hucknall (both sides) (at all times) - From its junction with Watnall Road for a distance of 20 metres in a north westerly direction

3. Vehicles are prohibited from turning right in the following length of road
a. Watnall Road, Hucknall - From Watnall Road into Nabbs Lane

b. Aerial Way, Hucknall - From Aerial Way onto Watnall Road

4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 07:00, Monday 6th April 2026
Until 18:00, Friday 24th April 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Watnall Road - Nabbs Lane - Common Lane - A611 Hucknall Bypass -
b. Ruffs Drive - Godber Road - Nabbs Lane

The Order will come into force on Monday 6th April 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works;
