A20 Ashford Road & Pilgrims Way, Lenham, ME17 2PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow foul water main to be installed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on parts of A20 Ashford Road & Pilgrims Way, Lenham, on or after 6th April 2026 for up to 117 days or until the works have been completed.
A20 Ashford Road will be temporarily restricted to 30mph from the junction of Downlands to the junction of Ham Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Pilgrims Way will be closed at the junction of A20 Ashford Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a No Right Turn from A26 Tonbridge Road into Terminus Road between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden, TN12 9NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow railway inspection and works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Teston Lane, Teston, on or after 25th April 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20 metres either side of Teston Level Crossing between the hours of 23:30 on 25th April 2026 and 04:00 on 27th April 2026 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow rail crossing maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Bridge, Nettlestead, on or after 26th April 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20 metres either side of Wateringbury Level Crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow stop tap replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 20th April 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Grove Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Lane, Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Forge Lane, Chapel Lane and vice versa.

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 22nd April 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in 2 phases, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekdays only, as detailed below:
Phase 1 - from the junction with Workhouse Lane, for a distance approximately 875 metres in a North direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Phase 2 - from the junction with Forge Lane, for a distance approximately 875 metres in a North direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

East Sutton Road, Sutton Valence, ME17 3DA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Sutton Road, Sutton Valence, on or after 8th April 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 120 metres West of Pleasure House Lane, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a West direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow installation of mobile crane to remove a tower crane, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Granville Road, Maidstone, on or after 26th April 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction of Peel Street and the junction with Boxley Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:
Diversion 1 - Peel Street, Gladstone Road, Boxley Road and Granville Road.

Kent County Showground Events, Various Roads, Maidstone (SPEED RESTRICTION, NO RIGHT TURN & NO WAITING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow events to be held at the Kent County Showground, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of Various Roads, Maidstone, on or after 11th April 2026 for up to 226 days or until the events have been completed, as per the below schedule:

• Heritage Transport Show - from 11th April 2026, with an estimated completion date of 11th April 2026.
• Antiques and Vintage Fair - from 18th April 2026, with an estimated completion date of 19th April 2026.
• BHP Performance Car Show - from 3rd May 2026, with an estimated completion date of 3rd May 2026.
• Kent Garden Show - from 23rd May 2026, with an estimated completion date of 25th May 2026.

• Kent Construction Show - from 1st October 2026, with an estimated completion date of 1st October 2026.
• Antiques and Vintage Fair - from 31st October 2026, with an estimated completion date of 1st November 2026.
• Kent Festive Gift and Food Show - from 20th November 2026, with an estimated completion date of 22nd November 2026.
The following restrictions imposed only on the event dates listed above.
Speed Restrictions
It will be necessary to impose mandatory speed limits on the following roads:
• Traffic in excess of 40MPH shall be prohibited on the Northbound carriageway of A249 Detling Hill between Scragged Oak Road and the Shell Petrol Garage.
• Traffic in excess of 30 MPH will be prohibited on Scragged Oak Road from A249 Detling Hill to Cox Street.
• Traffic in excess 50 MPH will be prohibited on A249 Sittingbourne Road Southbound between Roydens Prestige Car Sales and Aerodrome turning.
• Traffic in excess of 40 MPH will be prohibited on A249 Sittingbourne Road/A249 Detling Hill Southbound from Aerodrome to Scragged Oak Road.
Prohibition of Right-hand Turn
Vehicles will be prohibited from turning right, except upon the direction of a police officer, cause or permit a vehicle to turn right, on the following roads:
• Carry out a right hand turn from A249 Detling Hill Southbound into Scragged Oak Road.
• Carry out a right hand turn from Scragged Oak Road onto the A249 Detling Hill Southbound.
• Carry out a right hand turn or “U” turn on the A249 Sittingbourne Road Northbound at its junction with Rumstead Lane.
• Carry out a right hand turn from A249 Sittingbourne Road Southbound into Church Hill.
• Carry out a right hand turn from A249 Sittingbourne Road Southbound into Chalky Road.
• Carry out a right hand turn from A249 Sittingbourne Road Southbound into Aerodrome Approach, Service Road.
No Waiting Restriction
• Prohibit waiting and stopping on A249 Detling Hill and A249 Sittingbourne Road.
Lane Closure
• Lane closure Northbound between the exit of Detling Showground and the Shell Petrol Station. To facilitate safe egress from the showground.
• Lane closure Southbound between the Aerodrome and the Showground Main Entrance. To facilitate barrier removal / reinstatement or queueing event traffic.
The alternative route for any through traffic affected by the above restrictions are either:
• Traffic travelling Northbound is via the roundabout at Junction 5 of the M2 Motorway.
• Traffic travelling Southbound is via the roundabout at Junction 7 of the M20 Motorway.
Kings Lane, Collier Street, TN12 9SD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kings Lane, Collier Street, on or after 10th April 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with B2162 Collier Street, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a West direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate, Spenny Lane, Kings Lane and vice versa.
