Temporary Closure of Thorne Lane

(Westbound Lane), Larkhill Road, Larkhill Road

(Southbound Lane), Greenwood Road and Wessex Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Thorne Lane, Westbound Lane (20th April 2026 - 11th May 2026) - from the junction with Larkhill Road, eastwards for a total distance of 334 metres; Larkhill Road (7th April 2026 - 19th April 2026) - from the junction with Thorne Lane, southwards for a distance of 5 metres; Larkhill Road, Southbound Lane (11th May 2026 - 22nd June 2026) - from the junction with Thorne Lane to the junction with Greenwood Road; Wessex Road (11th May 2026 - 1st June 2026) - from the junction with Larkhill Road, eastwards for a distance of 8 metres and Greenwood Road (22nd June 2026 - 5th July 2026) - from the junction with Larkhill Road to the junction with Thornton Road. A total distance of 753 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out phased works to install a new water main (as and when signed on site).

The Order becomes effective on 1st April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 7th April 2026 and last until 5th July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 90 days.
