What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Various Streets, Ryedale Area, Order 2026, No. 149
We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Slingsby Bank, Slingsby; North Lodge to Slingsby Bank, Swiss Cottage to North Lodge & Swiss Cottage Roundabout, Coneysthorpe; The Stray to Swiss Cottage Roundabout & The Stray, Welburn; Mains Lane, Whitwell-on-the-Hill; Pry Hills Lane, Rosedale Abbey; North Grimston to Langton Crossroads, North Grimston; Wold Plantation to County Boundary & Wharram-le-Street to Burdale North Wold, Wharram-le-Street; Hallfield Lane, Nawton; Main Street, Gillamoor & Keldgate Road & West Dike Road, Newton-on-Rawcliffe for a temporary period of 2 weeks at each location (subject to access to premises) between 01/04/26 & 30/09/26, due to works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Main Street, Allerston, Order 2026, No. 170
We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Main Street, Allerston for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 20/04/26 & 01/05/26, due to Fuse upgrade works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 04/05/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 25.62/1/1 Marton & 25.68/26/3 Normanby, Order 2024 No 378
Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpath 25.62/1/1 in the Parish of Marton & 25.68/26/3 in Normanby between grid references SE73208304 & SE72908267 due to damage to a bridge, making the route impassable has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 06/04/27 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
