What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL

(COLLINS AVENUE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 01 April 2026 the Blackpool Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. The effect of the Order will be to:

(a)    Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Collins Avenue between its junction with Moor Park Avenue to its southerly junction with Canada Crescent.

(b)    Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Canada Crescent from its junction with Collins Avenue for approximately 66 metres in the westerly direction to no. 14 Canada Crescent.

(c)     No left or right turn onto Collins Avenue from its junction with Quebec Avenue.

Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained wherever possible. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.

The proposed Order will commence on 13 April 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 10 days.
