What is happening?
SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL
(LIVINGSTONE PLACE, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Livingstone Place, Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 18:00 on 9 April 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 8 October 2027. The Order is required for road safety for Galashiels Academy and St Margaret’s Primary School.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along Livingstone Place, Galashiels outside Oakwood Park, as detailed below:
(i) north side of the road from buildout eastwards for 17 metres; and
(ii) south side from barriered access to Oakwood Park eastwards for 11 metres.

(LAIRBURN DRIVE, CLOVENFORDS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Lairburn Drive, Clovenfords) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 7 April 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 to 21:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water Ironworks repair.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Lairburn Drive, Clovenfords.
The alternative route for south eastbound traffic is via Lairburn Drive, Vine Street, Old Vineries, Muscat Brae and Lairburn Drive to the point of closure, for north westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(C16 LINDEAN MOOR, SELKIRK)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (C16 Lindean Moor, Selkirk) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:00 on 8 April 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 19:00 on 10 April 2026. The Order is required for Scottish Water Ironworks repair.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C16 Lindean Moor, Selkirk at the entrance to Nether Whitlaw Farm.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the C16, A699, A7 and C17 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(GALAHILL, JEDBURGH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Galahill, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 6 April 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 10 April 2026. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Galahill, Jedburgh.
There is no alternative route. Local access will be maintained with minor delays.

(VARIOUS ROADS, LANTON AND CRAILING AREAS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads, Lanton and Crailing Areas) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, shall come into force on 6 April 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 26 April 2026 as detailed below. The Order is required for Scottish Water borehole works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the following roads in Galashiels for the duration of each closure:
(a) Closure 1: D59/3 South of Lanton from 09:00 on Monday 6 April to 21:00 on Sunday 12 April 2026;
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via D59/3, D58/3, C38, B6358, D59/3 to point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;
(b) Closure 2: C38 South of Lanton from 09:00 on Monday 13 April to 21:00 on Sunday 19 April 2026;
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via B6358, A698 and C38 to point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
(c) Closure 3: C62 Crailing from 09:00 on Monday 20 April to 21:00 on Sunday 26 April 2026.
The alternative route for south eastbound traffic is C62, C39, A698 to the point of closure, for north eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
