Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

ACLE – New Road from its junction with New Close for 200m eastwards to facilitate removal and replacement of surface water covers from 7th to 8th April 2026 (may continue until 20th May 2026). Alternative route is via: New Road, Old Road, De Carle Smith Road, The Drive, Acle Link Road, A47 J A1064 Roundabout, A47 From Acle Parish Boundary To Halvergate Parish Boundary. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. NB: Access to properties and businesses will be maintained during the closure.

AYLMERTON – The Street from its junction with Church Road for 400m south-eastwards to facilitate replacement of electricity poles and overhead cabling works between 09:00 and 18:00 from 7th to 9th April 2026 (may continue until 21st May 2026). Alternative route is via: Church Road, Mill Lane, Park Road, The Street. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

BEIGHTON – Low Farm Road from its junction with Coxhill Road for 140m eastwards to facilitate carriageway repairs from 9th to 10th April 2026 (may continue until 22nd May 2026). Alternative route is via: Coxhill Road, Sandy Lane, Church Hill. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

BOOTON – C264 Church Road from 150m west of its junction with Grove Lane for 200m westwards to facilitate removal of a bellmouth entrance in an adjacent field from 6th to 12th April 2026 (may continue until 24th May 2026). Alternative route is via: Church Road, Norwich Road, The Moor, New Road, B1145 Station Road/Cawston Road/High Street/Aylsham Road, B1149 Holt Road, Buxton Road, Easton Way, Reepham Road, Church Road (Brandiston, Cawston, Salle, Reepham, Booton). CAWSTON – Heydon Road from its junction with B1145 High Street for 877m northwards to facilitate highway repair works from 7th to 20th April 2026 (may continue until 1st June 2026). Alternative route is via: Heydon Road, B1149 Holt Road, Oulton Street, Chapel Street, B1145 High Street (Heydon, Cawston). The works promoter is Vattenfall Wind Power.

GIMINGHAM – C295 Church Street from 25m north of its junction with Hall Road for 100m northwards to facilitate overhead fibre cabling works from 8th to 10th April 2026 (may continue until 22nd May 2026). Alternative route is via: C295 Church Street/Mill Street/Slaughter Road/Gimingham Road, C634 Mundesley Road, C294 Middle Street/Top Road/Whitegate Road/Chapel Street, C289 Southrepps Road (Trimingham, Gimingham, Southrepps). GREAT YARMOUTH – Deneside from 85m southeast of its junction with Regent Road for 25 metres south-eastwards to facilitate new gas connection works, traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 7th to 13th April 2026 (may continue until 25th May 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Cadent.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Walpole Road from 50m north of its junction with Beaconfield Road for 100m northwards to facilitate lead pipe replacements from 6th April to 1st May 2026 (may continue until 1st November 2026). Alternative route is via: Beaconfield Road, North Denes Road, Walpole Road. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

HELLESDON – Footpath U5F36 Bernham Road to Woodland Road from its junction with Bernham Road to its junction with Woodland Road to facilitate reconstruction works from 7th April to 10th July 2026 (may continue until 6th October 2026). Alternative route is via: Woodland Road, Bernham Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

LINGWOOD AND BURLINGHAM – Post Office Road from its junction with Chapel Road for 480m eastwards to facilitate installation of a new fibre network from 8th to 14th April 2026 (may continue until 26th May 2026). Alternative route is via: Chapel Road, Norwich Road, Station Road. The works promoter is CityFibre Metro Networks.

NEATISHEAD – A) C401 Horning Road from 150m northwest of its junction with U19120 Chapel Road for 455m southwards and B) Chapel Road from its junction with C401 Horning Road for 450m eastwards to facilitate installation of new duct with cab and chamber for cabling works from 7th to 14th April 2026 (may continue until 26th May 2026). Alternative route is via: Horning Road, Norwich Road, A1151 Stalham Road, A1062 Horning Road/Ropes Hill, Neatishead Road, Irstead Road (also known as Birds Lane), Common Road, Church Lane, Church Road, School Road, School Lane, Norwich Road, Horning Road (Hoveton, Ashmanhaugh, Horning). NB. Phased closure with only one road closure in operation at any time.

NORTH WALSHAM – U10320 Bluebell Road from its junction with C636 Bacton Road for 50m southwards to facilitate water stop tap replacement works from 7th to 9th April 2026 (may continue until 21st May 2026). Alternative route is via: Bacton Road, Mundesley Road, Lyngates Road, B1145 North Walsham By-pass, A149 North Walsham By-pass, Norwich Road, Grammar School Road, Yarmouth Road, New Road, Pound Road, Marshgate, Bluebell Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

NORTHREPPS – C291 School Lane from its junction with C292 Church Street for 125m westwards to facilitate tree cutting works around power lines between 08:00 and 18:00 on 9th April 2026 (may continue until 21st May 2026). Alternative route is via: C292 Church Street/Sandy Lane, Thorpe Road, A149 Cromer Road/North Walsham Road/Crossdale Street, C291 New Road/School Lane (Southrepps, Northrepps). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

OLD CATTON – C251 St Faiths Road from its junction with Fifers Lane to its junction with Garrick Green to facilitate carriageway repair works from 7th to 8th April 2026 (may continue until 20th May 2026). Alternative route is via: St Faiths Road, Lodge Lane, Spixworth Road, A1042 Catton Halls, Mile Cross Lane. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

REEPHAM – C265 Kerdiston Road from its junction with Silver End for 30m southwards to facilitate duct laying works from 8th to 10th April 2026 (may continue until 25th May 2026). Alternative route is via: Kerdiston Road, Smugglers Lane, B1145 Dereham Road/Station Road. The works promoter is BT.

SPIXWORTH – C246 Buxton Road from its junction with The Paddocks to its junction with Lintern Road to facilitate installation of additional drainage and kerbing to widen the carriageway and formation of a side entrance from 7th to 19th April 2026 (may continue until 31st May 2026). Alternative route is via: Spixworth Road, White Woman Lane, B1150 North Walsham Road, Croswick Lane, Buxton Road (Beeston St. Andrew, Spixworth, Crostwick, Spixworth, Old Catton). The works promoter is Bateman Groundworks Ltd.

SPROWSTON – A) U57339 Hammond Way from its junction with C283 Salhouse Road to its junction with U57344 Greenborough Road, B) U57337 Breck Road from its junction with U57339 Hammond Way to its junction with U57344 Greenborough to facilitate footway resurfacing from 7th April to 11th August 2026 (may continue until 6th October 2027). Alternative route is via: Salhouse Road, Woodside Road, Greenborough Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

THORPE ST. ANDREW – A) U59582 South Avenue from its junction with A1242 Yarmouth Road for 330m northwards, B) U59580 Stanmore Road from its junction with U59582 South Avenue for its entire length being 156m to facilitate footway resurfacing and replacement of kerbs, traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over Road A and Road B shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or from 7th April to 31st July 2026 (may continue until 6th October 2027). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WALSINGHAM – U14092 Church Street from 52m southeast of its junction with B586 High Street for 30m south-eastwards to facilitate relocation of existing water air valve away from electrical supply pole works from 7th to 10th April 2026 (may continue until 22nd May 2026). Alternative route is via: U14092 Church Street, C586 High Street, C597 Common Place/Holt Road, U14092 Sunk Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WOOD DALLING – U57084 Crabgate Lane from its junction with Corpusty Road to its junction with Red Pits Lane to facilitate carriageway patching from 7th to 8th April 2026 (may continue until 20th May 2026). Alternative route is via: Corpusty Road, Blackwater Lane, Red Pits Lane (Heydon, Wood Dalling). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

CASTON – C546 Attleborough Road from its junction with U33229 Coronation Terrace for 60m westwards to facilitate pole tests between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 9th April 2026 (may continue until 21st May 2026). Alternative route is via C546 Attleborough Road, B1077 Carbrooke Road/Caston Road, B1108 Norwich Road, A1075 Memorial Way/Thetford Road, U33192/C546 Thompson Road, C546 Griston Road/The Street and vice versa (Carbrooke, Watton, Caston, Griston). DEOPHAM AND HACKFORD – C783 Pye Lane from its junction with C164 Vicarage Road for 60m southwards to facilitate new water connection works from 8th to 10th April 2026 (may continue until 22nd May 2026) where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates. Alternative route is via Pye Lane, The Green, Morley Road, Deopham Road, Mill Hill Lane, Vicarage Road (Morley, Deopham). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

DEREHAM – 3F477 De-Narde Road to Wollaston Avenue from its junction with U30189 De-Narde Road to its junction with U30193 Wollaston Avenue to facilitate footway resurfacing from 7th April 2026 to 9th June 2026 (may continue until 6th October 2026). Alternative route is via 30193 Wollaston Avenue, 31088 Highfield Road, 31337 Acorn Way, 3Y27 Raynham Ride, 31658 Townshend Road, 30189 De-Narde Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

DEREHAM – 3Y27 Raynham Ride from its junction with U31337 Acorn Way to its junction with U31658 Townshend Road to facilitate footway resurfacing from 7th April 2026 to 9th June 2026 (may continue until 6th October 2026) where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates. Alternative route is via 31658 Townshend Road, 3Y27 Raynham Ride, 31337 Acorn Way. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

DEREHAM – A) C540 High Street from its junction with 3P155 Wrights Walk to its junction with C496 Norwich Street and B) C540 High Street from its junction with C541 London Road to its junction with U30125 Church Street to facilitate disconnection of gas supply works, Road A will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and Road B shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (northbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a northerly and southerly direction between 19:00 and 07:00 from 6th to 8th April 2026 (may continue until 20th May 2026). Alternative route is via C540 High Street/Market Place, C553 Wellington Road/Neatherd Road, C585 Mattishall Way/Station Road, C584/C541 London Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Cadent.

DISS – A1066 Victoria Road from 80m east of its junction with U71521 Sawmills Road for 200m eastwards to facilitate gas main upgrades from 7th April to 5th May 2026 (may continue until 5th November 2026). Alternative route is via A1066 Victoria Road, B1077 Stuston Road, A143 Scole Stuston Bypass, A140 Scole Bypass/Scole Roundabout, A1066 Diss Road (Diss, Stuston, Scole). The works promoter is Cadent.

FOULDEN – School Road from 40m north of its junction with Hythe Road for 30m northwards to facilitate stop tap replacement from 7th to 9th April 2026 (may continue until 21st May 2026). Alternative route is via U33257 Road from Foulden Hall to Hythe Road, C42 Road From Foulden To Didlington/White Hart Street, U33257 School Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

GISSING – U76040 Glebe Road from its junction with C342 Rectory Road for 40m northwards to facilitate overhead cable works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 6th April 2026 (may continue until 18th May 2026). Alternative route is via Rectory Road, Glebe Road, Hall Green, Gissing Road, The Street, Green Lane, Station Road, Long Row (Gissing, Tivetshall, Aslacton). The works promoter is BT.

GREAT DUNHAM – C67A Castle Acre Road from its junction with C238 Lexham Road for 1500m westwards to facilitate carriageway repairs from 7th to 9th April 2026 (may continue until 21st May 2026). HARDINGHAM – U35044 Danemoor Road from its junction with C162 Station Road to its junction with C161 Middle Road to facilitate carriageway patching on 10th April 2026 (may continue until 22nd May 2026). Alternative route is via: C161 Middle Road, C162 Station Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

LODDON – U76333 Low Bungay Road from 150m south of its junction with U76501 Davy Place for 50m southwards to facilitate pole testing and tree cutting between 09:30 and 15:30 on 6th April 2026 (may continue until 18th May 2026). MATTISHALL – C200 Dereham Road from 70m west of its junction with C198 Church Plain for 30m westwards to facilitate link box replacement from 8th to 10th April 2026 (may continue until 22nd May 2026). REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON – A) U76598 Jays Green from its junction with U76262 School Lane for 200m westwards, B) U76598 Candlers Lane from its junction with Redenhall Road for 100m southwards and C) C363 Station Road from its junction with Millers Green for 30m southwards to facilitate gas main replacement works from 6th April to 22nd May 2026 (may continue until 22nd November 2026). Alternative routes are via: A) Mendham Lane, Old Market Place, Church Street, The Thoroughfare, Redenhall Road, Broad Street, School Lane. FOULSHAM – C227 Hindolveston Road from 470m north of Wood Norton Road for 30m northwards to facilitate installation of a new water connection from 30th March to 1st April 2026 (may continue until 13th May 2026). LITTLE SNORING – U14006 Kettlestone Road from its junction with Thursford Road to its junction with Holt Road to facilitate installation of new service works from 30th March to 3rd April 2026 (may continue until 15th May 2026). Alternative route is via: Thursford Road, The Street, A148 Holt Road (Kettlestone, Little Snoring). The works promoter is BT.

MARTHAM – C456 Staithe Road from its junction with U69349 Damgate Lane to its junction with C640 Somerton Road to facilitate excavation works to install HV circuit from 31st March to 24th April 2026 (may continue until 24th October 2026). RINGLAND – C174 Honingham Lane from its junction with Weston Road for 1000m northwards to facilitate removal of a bellmouth entrance from 30th March to 5th April 2026 (may continue until 17th May 2026).
