REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.3 THORPE SALVIN ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Public Footpath No.3 Thorpe Salvin at SK 5342 8170 commencing at its junction with Anston Footpath 16 and proceeding in an southerly direction then South Westerly to the rail crossing SK 5304 8140 from Saturday 4th April until Friday 8th May 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for pedestrians.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (planned works to upgrade the railway crossing, installation of new steps on the embankments both sides of the track, new units installed to get pedestrians over the track and improve overall safety of the crossing).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY ORDER)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is from Saturday 4th. April until Wednesday 8th. April 2026 to:-

1.     To prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Laughton Road from its junction with B6060 Church Lane to its junction with Barleycroft Lane.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via B6060 Church Lane, B6060 Littlefield Road, B6060 Undergate Road Roundabout, B6060 Undergate Road, Safeway service road, Outgang Lane and Laughton Road.

2.     To suspend the One Way Order relating to Barleycroft Lane between its junction with Laughton Road and its junction with Lidgett Lane allowing two-way traffic.

The reason for the prohibition and suspension of one way order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (installation of drain connection).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Public Footpath No. 8 Woodsetts at SK 5594 8304 commencing at its junction with Worksop Road opposite Coterill Woods Farm and proceeding in an easterly direction to the Nottinghamshire Country boundary near Owday Wood at Grid reference SK 5699 8298 from Tuesday 7th. April until Friday 5th. June 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for pedestrians.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Excavation works).

April until Tuesday 14th. April 2026.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Wensleydale Road between its junction with Wingfield Road and its junction with Nidderdale Road between Monday 13th. April and Friday 15th. May 2026.

Residents of properties affected by the Order will receive confirmation of an exact start date before works begin with signage placed on site.

April 2026 until Sunday 24th. January 2027.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via neighbouring footways.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (To enable the installation of a site hoarding and compound in relation to a nearby housing development).

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for cyclists affected by the Order. Cyclists to dismount and use the adjacent footway. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the cycle lanes (Works to telecommunication apparatus).

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 119
THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.1 (PART) IN THE PARISH OF TREETON ROTHERHAM
PUBLIC FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above order, made on 25th. March 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath commencing from a point at Grid Reference SK 4338 8860 and proceeding in an east south easterly direction then a generally north north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 50 metres to a point at Grid Reference SK 4340 8863 to a point commencing from Grid Reference SK 4338 8860 and proceeding in a generally northerly direction for a distance of approximately  20 metres to Grid Reference SK 4339 8862 and then in a generally north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 30 metres to Grid Reference SK 4340 8863. The width of the new path shall be 1.22 metres

A copy of the order and order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of the Head of Legal Services from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. between Monday and Friday. Callers are requested to quote reference NF/84345 (e-mail Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk).  Copies of the order and order map may be bought there for the reasonable cost of photocopying.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent or delivered in writing to the Head of Legal Services at the address below, quoting the above reference, not later than 1st. May 2026. Respondents are requested to state the grounds on which their representations or objections are made.
