(LEEDS ROAD, GLASSHOUGHTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 119) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to re rail and install coated rails to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road, Glasshoughton for approximately 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Bruce Smeaton Way, Cutsyke Road, Aketon Road, Leeds Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th April 2026 to 19th April 2026 between 23.55 hours and 09.05 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 120) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Thirlmere Drive, Airedale. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Thirlmere Drive.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Dawtrie Street, Camden Road, Crew Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th April 2026 to 18th April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Crewe Road, Airedale. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Crewe Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Fryston Road, Elizabeth Drive, Austin Road, Kendal Drive & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th April 2026 to 21st April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hastings Walk, Airedale. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hastings Walk.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th April 2026 to 21st April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 123) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hastings Crescent, Airedale. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hastings Crescent.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Airedale Road, Redhill Road, Queens Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th April 2026 to 21st April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(KINGS AVENUE, AIREDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 124) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Kings Avenue, Airedale. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Kings Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 21st April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(EAST VIEW, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 125) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: East View, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of East View.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 21st April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HIGHFIELD AVENUE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 126) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for a new connection to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Highfield Avenue, Pontefract for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Highfield Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd April 2026 to 28th April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BACK GARDEN STREET, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 129) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for planing, kerbing & resurfacing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Back Garden Street, Castleford, Back Street and end of Garden Street and middle crossing point. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Back Garden Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
