What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(OLD HEATH ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Old Heath Road in both directions at the railway bridge.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 22:00 on 12 April 2026 until 06:00 on 13 April 2026.
The diversion route is: Deans Road, Willenhall Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate bridge examination
works by Network Rail.
