PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CABLE STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Cable Street outside Carlton House.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 13th April 2026 until 15th April 2026.

The diversion route is: Steelhouse Lane, Major Street,
Dixon Street, Bilston Road and vice versa.

The Order is required to facilitate a Short Comm pipe renew by Severn Trent Water.
