THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS STREETS, ALFRETON) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council proposes to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be, in respects of roads in Alfreton, in the District of Amber Valley, is as follows:
TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME ON PARTS OF THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Arthur Street, Beech Avenue, Cedar Avenue, Charles Street, Firs Avenue, High Street, Limes Avenue, Mansfield Road, Preston Avenue, Rowland Street, School Access Road (from its junction with Grange Street) and Wilson Street, Alfreton.
TO RESTRICT WAITING MONDAY TO SATURDAY, 8AM TO 6PM ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Limes Avenue and Mansfield Road, Alfreton.
TO RESTRICT WAITING MONDAY TO SATURDAY, 8AM TO 9.15AM AND 4.30PM TO 7PM ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
Mansfield Road, Alfreton
South side
From its junction with Prospect Street in a westerly direction to a point 12 metres east of its junction with Wilson Street.
Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge will also apply.
TO INTRODUCE A DISABLED PERSON’S VEHICLE PARKING PLACE ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
King Street, Alfreton
West side
From a point 1.5 metres south of its junction with High Street in a southerly direction, for a distance of 4.5 metres.Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, at Alfreton Library, Severn Square, Alfreton, DE55 7BQ, during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO
