THE MID SUSSEX DISTRICT COUNCIL
(OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2006
(AMENDMENT NO.1) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Mid Sussex District Council in exercise of its powers under Part IV and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 whether generally in relation to the Council’s area and of all other enabling powers has made on 31 March 2026 the Mid Sussex District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2006 (Amendment No.1) Order 2026. The Order will come into force on 31 March 2026.
The Effect of the Order
The Revocation shall have the following effect:
The permanent closure of the Martlets Multi-Storey car park, Burgess Hill.
The removal of the Martlets Multi-Storey car park, Burgess Hill from the Mid Sussex District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2006 (as amended).
A copy of the amended Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be inspected during normal office hours at Oaklands, Oaklands Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 1SS. The Council has also made a copy of the Order available for public inspection on the Council’s website.
If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may within six weeks from 31 March 2026 apply for that purpose to the High Court.
