BUS STOP RELOCATION – EAST OVERCLIFF DRIVE

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT AND WHERE:

East Overcliff Drive – southern side, opposite the Carlton Hotel

no parking and no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time, from a point 36m west of the extended centre line of Meyrick Road for a distance of 94m eastwards (includes suspension of bus stop and disabled parking bays)

suspension of the payment parking bay, from its western end, for a distance of 49m, to facilitate the relocation of the bus stop and disabled parking bay

no stopping except for local buses, from a point 66m east of the extended centre line of Meyrick Road for a distance of 27m eastwards

24 hour street parking place for the disabled, 8am-6pm max stay 3hrs no return 1hr from the eastern end of the relocated bus stop, for a distance of 14m

WHY: Due to cliff remediation works

WHEN: Anticipated dates 13th April 2026 until 12th October 2027

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
