London Borough of Southwark - Medlar Street - temporary prohibition of traffic, temporary prohibition of parking, waiting and loading

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK  ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) (MEDLAR STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING, WAITING AND LOADING)     

1. The Council of the London Borough of Southwark hereby gives notice that to allow election logistics, it has made an order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit traffic from entering part of Medlar Street. Parking, stopping, waiting and loading on part of Medlar Street will also be prohibited at the dates and times stated in point 5.

2. The location of the prohibitions in part 1 of this notice is: Medlar Street, between Badsworth Road and Camberwell Road.

3. When barriers and signs are in place, no person shall cause a vehicle to enter, park, wait, load or unload, including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods within the section on Medlar Street, between Badsworth Road and Camberwell Road.

4. The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the election logistics, or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or Council officer or Council appointed traffic marshal.

5. The temporary traffic order will be in operation from 8pm on the 7th of May until 1am on the 8th of May 2026.
