Cambridgeshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures for utility works including electrical, gas, sewer connections, and tree cutting
What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Middle Street, Thriplow Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20029
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Middle Street, Thriplow as lies between No. 32 & Church Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Middle St; The Green; Fowlmere Rd; B1368; Chrishall Rd C261, Fowlmere; A505 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical supply installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 15/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 14/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 15/4/26.
Elin Way, Meldreth Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20066
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Elin Way, Meldreth as lies between Howard Road & High Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Elin Way; High St; Whitecroft Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 20/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20/4 & 24/4/26.
Middle Street, Thriplow Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20095
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Middle Street, Thriplow as lies between No.14 & 28. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Street; School Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13/4 & 20/4/26.
High Street, Shingay Cum Wendy Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20122
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Shingay Cum Wendy as lies between Shingay Cum Wendy Footpath 8 & South View. The alternative route for vehicles is via Wendy Rd; Flecks Ln; Shingay Rd; Guilden Morden Rd; New Rd; Fox Hill Rd; Potten Rd; Guilden Morden Rd; B1042; A1198 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tree cutting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs & 16:00hrs on 7/4/26. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of The Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of Their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
