The Council has made the Borough of Telford & Wrekin Buildwas Road, Ironbridge (Temporary 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order will be to introduce a temporary 40mph speed limit to maintain safety for road users. The order becomes operational from the 8/4/26. The following road is affected: Buildwas Road, Ironbridge from a point approx. 1060m from its jcn with Much Wenlock Rd for approx. 500m in a south easterly direction. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed by the 8/10/27.
