Midleton Road (A25) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along that length of the eastbound carriageway of Midleton Road (A25) Guildford as extends from its junction at the (A25) Denis Roundabout to the stop line at the signal junction with Woodbridge Road.
Alternative Route – A3 Southbound to Cathedral Roundabout; The Chase; Madrid Road; Guildford Park Road; A31 Farnham Road; A322 Bridge Street/Onslow Street/Woodbridge Road; A25 Ladymead; and A320 Woking Road.; and
(b) suspend “The Surrey County Council A25 Midleton Road and A25 Woodbridge Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a).
This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 07 April 2026 is required to facilitate the structural inspection works of National Highways assets and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Kier within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 night between the hours of 9pm and 6am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. Access to the property known as “Pets at Home” will also be maintained via escort from operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Beauchamp Road (D6918) East Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles in that length of the eastbound carriageway of Beauchamp Road (D6918) East Molesey as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.03 and No.01 Beauchamp Road to its junction with (D6916) Spencer Road.
This Temporary Order is required to facilitate new surface water connection works for, or on behalf of Premier Drainage Solutions Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 11 days, between the hours of 7am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 07 April 2026.
This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs.
Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
Sandy Lane (D6851) Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Sandy Lane (D6851) Cobham as extends from its junction with (D6852) The Ridings to its junction with (X5136) Woodland Drive; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Sandy Lane (D6851) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Sandy Lane, Miles Lane, Knipp Hill, Littleheath Lane, Blundel Lane, Steels Lane, (A244) Warren Lane, and Sandy Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new customer connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via road plates. All other vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Parsons Mead (D6935) East Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Parsons Mead (D6935) East Molesey as extends from its junction with (D6935) Church Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.09 and No.08 Parsons Mead.
Alternative Route: Parsons Mead, Palace Road, and Church Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via trench links, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Hare Lane (D5400) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of Hare Lane (D5400) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D5415) Fern Road to its junction with (X5400) Access to Hare Lane.
Alternative Route: Hare Lane, Meadrow, Chalk Road, Nightingale Road, Farncombe Street, St Johns Street, and Hare Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate sewer pipe excavation and repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 days, between the hours of 10am and 5pm, within 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 30 March 2026 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council Hare Lane (D5400) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2026” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 10 March 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Shere Road (C46) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Shere Road (C46) Cranleigh.
Alternative Route: Pitch Hill, Mill Hollow, Windmill Plain, Horseblock Hollow, Barhatch Lane, (B2127) Bookhurst Road, (B2127) Cranleigh Road, and (B2127) The Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Wisley Lane (S241) Ockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 20 March 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wisley Lane (S241) Ockham as extends from the roundabout at A3 Ockham Interchange to the access for the property known as “Hut Hill Cottage”.
Alternative route – B2215 (Portsmouth Road and High Street), B367 (Newark Lane and Church Hill), Warren Lane, Pyrford Road, Lock Lane and Wisley Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Environ Civil Engineering to facilitate resurfacing and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 9 April 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
D4015 Tilehouse Road, Shalford
Temporary (One-Way) Traffic Order 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to impose a southbound one-way restriction on traffic proceeding in that length of D4015 Tilehouse Road, Shalford which extends from its junction with East Shalford Lane to the northern property boundary of No.23.
This Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said road, namely surface dressing/ pre-patching works, to be carried out by Surrey County Council, which will commence on 28 March 2026 for a period of 18 months.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The said restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; or in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of Surrey Police.
Alternative Route – turn right onto the opposite carriageway (southbound) on Tilehouse Road, then continue onto East Shalford Lane, The Street (A281), Shalford Road (A281) and Pilgrims Way.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling works and/or carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 March 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2) (b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2026
On 25 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/ or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 March 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles in that length of; (a) the northbound carriageway of Thorkhill Road (C161) Thames Ditton as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.28 and No.30 Thorkhill Road to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.32 and No.34 Thorkhill Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Elmbridge) (Revocation and Consolidation of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Prohibition and Restriction) Order 2021” as amended, insofar as it affects that length of road specified within the Order
This Temporary Order is required to facilitate a safe working zone for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 24 April 2026.
This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to; (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Bury Street (D4016) Guildford; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Bury Street (D4016) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” and “The Surrey County Council Bury Street (D4016) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects the length of road described in part (a) of this Notice; and “Borough of Guildford The Guildford Traffic Regulation Order 1965” as amended insofar as it affects the length of road described in part (a) of this Notice.
This is to allow access to properties within the length of road specified within the Notice.
Alternative Route: (1) Bury Fields, Lawn Road, Millmead Terrace, Bury Street, (A3100) Portsmouth Road, and High Street; (2) Bury Street, High Street, (A3100) Portsmouth Road, Bury Street, Millmead Terrace, Bury Fields, and Bury Street. This Order is required to facilitate S278 works for, or on behalf of Zack Contractors Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried over 4 weeks, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 April 2026.

Clay Lane (C14) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling southbound on Clay Lane (C14) Guildford from turning left into (A3) Guildford – Godalming By-Pass.
Alternative Route: Southbound on (A3100) Clay Lane, northbound (A3100) Clay Lane, and (A3) Guildford – Godalming By-Pass.

The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Sydenham Road (D4014) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sydenham Road (D4014) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4014) Bright Hill to its junction with (D4014) Brodie Road.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 11.30pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Old Blacknest Cottage to its junction with the access to the property known as “Oaks Yard”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Chiddingfold Road (C34) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: Chiddingfold Road, High Street Green, Pickhurst Road,
The Green, (A283) Petworth Road, (A283) Cripplecrutch Hill, Shillinglee Road, Dunsfold Road, Plaistow Road, and Chiddingfold Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required.
Cresta Drive (D3059) Woodham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Cresta Drive (D3059) Woodham.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order is required to enable M Group to facilitate utility works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 May 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Thorncombe Street (D199) Bramley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Thorncombe Street (D199) Bramley as extends from the access for Winkworth Arboretum to the northern boundary of the property known as “Lodkin”.
Alternative route – Alldens Hill, Alldens Lane, Munstead Heath Road, B2130 (Hascombe Road) and Lodkin Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable M Group Telecoms to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 April 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained by a gatesman.
Grange Road (D4023) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Grange Road (D4023) Guildford as extends from the access for Northmead Junior School to its junction with Stoughton Road (D4023).
Alternative route – Cumberland Avenue, A322 (Worplesdon Road) and Stoughton Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Lanes Group to facilitate sewer cleaning and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 April 2026 for 2 nights between the hours of 10.00pm and 5.30am.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Pond Lane (D228) Peaslake
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pond Lane (D228) Peaslake as extends from the access for the property known as “Dairy Cottage” to the access for the property known as “Hazel Hall”. Alternative route – Jesses Lane, Pursers Lane, Peaslake Lane and Walking Bottom, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate utility works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 April 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained via road plates.
A248 New Road, Chilworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A248 New Road, Chilworth that is crossed by the Shalford to Chilworth railway route at the “Chilworth Level Crossing, and for a distance of 20m either side.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out signal/telecoms works and/or level crossing barrier maintenance and/or associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 6am, within 2 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 April 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
