(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting
vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of
road:
Queen Square closed in its entirety.
Lichfield Street closed from its junction with Queen Square
to its junction with Princess Street and Princess Square.
Cyclists to dismount and use the footway.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken
from 30 March 2026 to 8 June 2026.
The Order is required to facilitate resurfacing of Queen
Square and Lichfield Street as part of the Public Realm
works being undertaken by the City of Wolverhampton
Council.
