TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S - PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict
the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
The Order/s came into force on 30th March 2026 and will remain in force for a maximum period of
eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4397 Burlton to B5063 Horton
Date & Duration: 30th March 2026 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure for carriageway repairs
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5068, Cross Lane, Dudleston Heath
Date & Duration: 30th March 2026 between 08:00 to 18:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Defect
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Birch Road, Ellesmere
Date & Duration: 2nd April 2026 for 1 day between 09:30 to 14:30

Purpose: Road Closure - Install ducts and new box floor
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Pear Tree Lane, Claverley
Date & Duration: 2nd April 2026 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Access to overhead network
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Racecourse Lane, Much Wenlock

days. Weekdays 09:30-16:00 Weekends 06:00-18:00
Purpose: Site 3 surface dressing and associated works
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4397 Platt Mill Bridge, Ruyton XI Towns
Date & Duration: 30th March 2026 for 2 days
Purpose: Bridge parapet repairs
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Ronhill Lane, Cleobury Mortimer
Date & Duration: 30th March 2026 for 3 days between 09:00 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure- Cabling pole testing
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Rudge Heath Road, near Claverley
Date & Duration: 1st April 2026 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-lay 150m of new duct and upgrade existing chamber
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between A454 and Worfield

Purpose: Road Closure-Excavate and lay approx 10m of new duct

Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, main replacement scheme.
