What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

An alternative route will be via B1197 London Road, Vicarage Causeway and Church Hill. 2. that length of Woodland Road, Hertford Heath from its junction with Church Hill south eastwards and southwards for a distance of approximately 367m.

An alternative route will be via Church Hill, Vicarage Causeway, B1197 London Road, Priors Wood Road and Woodland Road.

3. that length of Woodland Road, Hertford Heath from its junction with B1197 London Road eastwards for a distance of approximately 147m.

An alternative route will be via B1197 London Road, Priors Wood Road and Woodland Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 1 April 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHERRY GREEN LANE, WESTMILL) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cherry Green Lane, Westmill from a point 484m north east of its junction with Westmill Restricted Byway No.004 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 260m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Cherry Green Lane, C16 (unnamed road), 3U20 (unnamed road) and Cherry Green Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. 

The Order will come into effect from 30 March 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months.

The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH WYCH LANE, HIGH WYCH) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Wych Lane, High Wych from its junction with High Wych Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 46m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via High Wych Road and High Wych Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 30 March 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. 

The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON GREEN LANE, BRAUGHING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green Lane, Braughing from its junction with The Street south eastwards, north eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 351m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 1 April 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON RAILWAY PLACE, HERTFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Railway Place, Hertford from its junction with Railway Street south eastwards to its junction with A119 Ware Road, a distance of approximately 171m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Railway Street, Mill Road and A119 Ware Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 30 March 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. 

The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN CHESHUNT) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Debenham Road, Cheshunt from its junction with Longfield Lane north eastwards to its junction with Park Lane, a distance of approximately 186m.

An alternative route will be via Longfield Lane and Park Lane.

2. that length of Moreton Close, Cheshunt from a point 68 metres south east of its junction with Debenham Road south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Varney Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Debenham Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 126m.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. that length of Paradise Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Park Lane north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of Park Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with Debenham Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 223m.

An alternative route will be via Debenham Road, Longfield Lane, Adamsfield, Holbeck Lane, Appleby Street and Park Lane.

6. that length of Park Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with Debenham Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Longfield Lane, a distance of approximately 317m.

An alternative route will be via Debenham Road and Longfield Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing water mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 30 March 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. 

The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
